K is for ... Kat (Tingey)

This was in a Morgana fanmix that I downloaded awhile back, and I have NOT been able to stop listening to it. It wasn't until I went to youtube it that I found all the Twi-fail connections in it. But! It's still a beautiful song, and Tingey has a beautiful voice and the music is just wonderful and dramatic and she has an amazing range.

I know my posting has been sporadic, at best. It's not going to get much better: I leave tomorrow (at five in the morning! D=) to head to Spokane, Washington for ten days! However, once I get back I'll, hopefully, be posting more often!

K is for ... Katie [Melua]

Back in the day, when I used to buy CDs, I'd walk into my local music shop, head to the new singles rack and buy the first single that I picked up. Of course, sometimes I picked up singles I hated and never listened to again and sometimes I'd find gems; Katie Melua's single "The Closest Thing to Crazy" was one such gem. Four albums and countless singles later, I'm still a fan.

H is for ... Mr Hudson

No list Hs would be complete without Mr. Hudson. I love Mr. Hudson, some would think that was an the biggest understatement of the year but they don't know what their talking about. But I do love him, a lot, in that almost "how do I love thee, let me count the ways" sorta way.

I would count the ways, or at least show you the ways, if I could articulate just how much I love Mr. Hudson. He has made countless of my summers (okay two but they were the best summers I ever had), lulled me to sleep, woken me up; his music has helped me clean my room, relax as I attempted to churn out several essays and more importantly have fun!

Admittedly, I don't like post-Kanye West Mr.Hudson as much as Mr Hudson-and-the-Library Mr. Hudson. But both Hudsons are amazing in their own rights and with performances such the one in the video above, the difference between the two is barely noticeable.

PS: I'm nearly finished taming the beast that is school and homework. I will be back full time soon. Hopefully.

S is for ... Side Ponytail

Photobucket

Side Ponytail is an amazing blog on everything music. It's filled with music that I've never heard of in my life and can't wait to find and listen to and learn to love myself.

Posts are quick, fun, sweet, and informative, with links, information, and pictures, which fills what most people are looking for. With fairly frequent updates and mentions of cassettes, walkmans, and other such references to the past and things that most of us grew up with, it's both a trip down memory lane and an opening to music that will go with us as we get older.
